The Contours were one of the first groups signed to Berry Gordy's Motown stable in Detroit. In 1960 they recorded their first singles with the label. They recorded the classic 'Do You Love Me' in '62 to enormous success, and this was their second most successful of their early singles making No 43 US Pop, and No 21 US R&B in 1963. It was released in the UK through the Motown offshoot of the Oriole Label 'Oriole-American.
