Mike was a major flag-bearer for the British 'Trad Jazz' boom of the late 50's/early 60's. This one was recorded under the name of the 'Mike Cotton Jazzmen and achieved a chart entry at No 34 in 1963. It was soon after this, that Mike responded to changes in public taste and re-named his band the Mike Cotton Sound, following a more Atlantic-Stax music style.
