The song, written by H B Barnum, was first recorded in 1965 by none other than Groucho Marx's daughter Melissa. It was then picked up by Los Angeles-based songstress Judy Street in 1968 and recorded as a B Side to 'You Turn Me On'. Import copies made their way to the North Of England and it became a huge dancefloor hit at the Wigan Casino venue. The B Side is a more obscure version, Ms Mason included it on her one and only album 'Is Something Wonderful' from '67.
