A definite one-hit wonder which sprang out of a recording session in New York in 1963. Officially the members accredited to the Jaynetts were four high-school friends, but the man behind the project, Abner Spector, invited up to 20 female vocalists to lay down a track during the week of recording, and so its difficult to calculate how many survived the mix-down and remained on the track that was released. It was a huge hit, reaching the UK Top 10 and US No2 in '63.
