By 1965, the Dixie Cups' chart success had started to fade, after the big hits Chapel of Love and Iko Iko of a couple of years earlier. With this, the girls went back to their New Orleans roots with a song based on a rhyme popular amongst the young of that city. Failed to chart on either side of the Atlantic.
