Originally written and recorded, way ahead of its time, in 1947 by Jump Blues artist Roy Brown, and then Wynonie Harris a little later, the song anticipated the rock n roll boom of the 50's. It was originally Elvis's second US single release in 1954. It was only made available in the UK on an EP although the B Side came out here as the flip to 'Blue Moon'. This is the 1977 US reissue
