One-time member of the Detroit vocal group the Falcons, Floyd signed for Stax in '65 and had numerous R'n'B hits in his own right, as well as writing for others. This was his follow-up to the anthemic 'Knock On Wood' and is significant in that it was the first record to be released in Britain on the label's own famous blue imprint. It reached No 42 UK, 79 US Pop, and No 16 US RnB.
