Leavill was an entrepreneur, talent scout as well as a performer. He had enjoyed only spasmodic minor hits during the sixties but in January 1970 he hit the US charts with this midtempo soul gem reaching No 10 US RnB and No 63 US Pop. Interestingly he's joined on backing vocals by Eugene Record (of Chi-Lites fame) and Barbara Acklin. It was released in the UK in 1970 to much acclaim from the Soul community but it failed to chart.
