During the mid-sixties, Tex had more RnB Chart Entries than James Brown which seems hard to believe now. This was his second US R n B No 1 after 'Hold What Youve Got'. In late '65 it also reached No 29 US Pop. Not a chart entry in the UK where this style of deep southern soul had yet to find its mass audience
