Damita Jo DeBlanc had some success in the States in the early 60's, principally with 'answer' records like this one in response to the Drifters 'Save The Last Dance For Me'. She never did make it to the UK Charts but this one hit No 22 US in 1960. She performed the song at a slightly higher tempo than the Drifters' originall giving the record some popularity on the Northern Soul scene for a while.
