Born in Birkenhead, Christopher Morris was picked up by impresario Larry Parnes and given a name which Parnes had previously intended for Georgie Fame. As Lance Fortune he had two UK hits, this one peaking at No 4 in 1960. As a matter of historical interest, he replaced Eddie Cochran on the ill-fated tour with Gene Vincent after Eddie's untimely death.
