Originally recorded by the Temptations and included on their 'Psychedelic Shack' album, their version was passed over in favour of the punchier, hard-hitting delivery by Starr. It hit No 1 US in 1970, No 3 UK and became the man's signature tune. The B Side is also worth noting as it rose to prominence on the Northern Soul scene.
